Out founder Dr. A M. Touseef, started Disha Psychiatric Care in1993 at Lakdikapul, Hyderabad to provide world class mental health care to people from all walks of life. During his early years of practice he had also worked in general hospital settings in Durrushehvar Hospital, Deccan College, Fernandez Hospital and Mahavir Hospital, too.

We have a rich experience in treating conditions like Depression, Panic Disorder, Bipolar Mood Disorder, OCD, Schizophrenia etc.

It pains us to see that people hesitate to seek treatment for mental illnesses. They are associated with a great deal of suffering and affect one's capacity to function occupationally and socially and also affect one's quality of life.

Psychiatry has made great strides towards the treatment of most mental illnesses. Very effective treatments are available today. We also try to educate people about the nature of mental illnesses and what we could do to improve the mental health of individuals in need of intervention.
